King’s Group Academies chosen as partner for Ringmer Community College in East Sussex
The King’s Group Multi Academy Trust has received outline approval by the Department for Education (DfE) as the new Academy sponsor of Ringmer Community College.
Whilst the agreement is still to be officially formalised, the South East Headteacher Board has indicated its approval for King’s Group Academies (KGA) to manage the day to day running of the school in the new academic year.
KGA Chairman, Sir Roger Fry, who began his teaching career in South East England, expressed his delight at the prospect of Ringmer joining the KGA Multi Academy Trust, adding “Our Academy Improvement Team has a wealth of experience as former or current English state school Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Headteachers or Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI). We have already received a warm welcome from parents and staff and now look forward to working closely with the students over the years to come as we strive to establish Ringmer as an outstanding academy”
Ringmer Community College will be the second school to join King’s Group Academies, as the Group plan to gradually develop a small cluster of outstanding schools in South East England.
