King’s College schools celebrate 50 Years of Academic Excellence since their foundation in 1969

All King’s College schools around the world will celebrate simultaneously a 50th Anniversary Launch Event on 7th February 2019. The event will include the burying of a time capsule to be opened in 2044 on the 75th anniversary.

It was in 1969 when Sir Roger Fry, the Group’s Chairman, founded the first King’s College school, which was initially in a humble chalet in Madrid’s Chamartín business district. Despite opening with only 70 students, since then, the King’s Group school network has today expanded substantially, to now be one of the most prestigious educational institutions internationally, with schools in the UK, Spain, Germany, Latvia and Panama, educating over 8,000 students worldwide.
